Over the years since moving to Thailand in 1990 I have worked on personal projects and on assignment for numerous organizations where I photographed adults and children in various conditions from poverty to community development, and disaster response situations. I have seen the hardships that go with life as we see it.
These portraits are from over 30 years of time that depict joy, hardships, change, development and hope. There is a saying that holds true I heard many years ago….”You can always find a little happiness, even in the most dire conditions, through the eyes of a child.”
